Dog Agility
The Bouncin' Bowsers Dog Agility Club will sponsor a DOCNA dog agility workshop and competition. The workshop will be held on Saturday morning and all dogs are welcome. The competition will be a Dogs On Course in North America, LLC (DOCNA) trial beginning on Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday.
Agility is a sporting event in which one dog and one human work together so the dog can successfully navigate through a series of obstacles such as tunnels, jumps, a tire jump and a dog walk. Each run is timed and scored: the goal is to complete the course with the highest score or the quickest time.
There will also be several dog rescue groups from the Lehigh Valley area. All dogs are welcome to the workshop.
Location: Cedar Beach - Linden Street across from J. Birney Crum Arena.
Saturday: There will be a ongoing workshop on Saturday morning starting at 9:00 a.m. and going until approximately 1:00 p.m. This workshop is open to the public. All dogs must be on leash. Please call to schedule a time slot for your dog. Dog handler teams will work with Bouncin Bowsers club members to learn how to negotiate the agility equipment. Workshop Fee:$5.00
Saturday - Sunday Trial: Saturday: 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Advanced Entry Fee: $13.00 per run. There will be limited on site entries and add on runs for $15 each.
This will be a DOCNA trial. Dogs On Course in North America, LLC (DOCNA) recognizes today’s agility enthusiast as a versatile competitor that challenges the bounds of success by training for and competing in multiple agility venues and dog sports other than agility. This competitor chooses the classes and division or level that allows them to challenge their abilities and develop their skills at their own pace, and meet their goals.
