The 5-on-5 Flag Football Tournament at Sportsfest has grown into the premiere flag football tournament in the region!  The largely entertaining event is played on a field that is 25 yards wide by 50 yardslong, the same as an arena field.  This makes scoring come at a premium!  Each team only has 5 downs to score with no first downs except from a penalty. Some penalties are assessed in yards while some add or subtract downs from the team. 

with the growth of flag football locally and nationally, we expect the 2009 tournament to be the largest to date with teams coming from multiple states.  Teams are put into brackets of 4 teams. Each team in the bracket will play the other three on Saturday, guaranteeing all teams 3 games. If a team goes 3-0 or 2-1, they advance to Sunday where they are re-seeded into a single elimination tourney.

$325.00 per team Registration Deadline: 7/1/09

There will be a cash prize to the winner and runner-up as well as trophies.
